After 10 years of coming so close to promotion Wolves F.C. and fans throughout the world are once again hoping that the 'sleeping giants'of the English game can gain premiership status. With a truly premiership stadium seating 30,000 every other Saturday and the highest attendances outside of the premier league, 11th highest in the country, Wolves are hoping to relinquish the days of Billy Wright and Stan Cullis lifting the league titles, F.A. cup and European championships numerous times.
This must be our season.
Wolverhampton had the best team in the country in the 50's
and probably also the best team in Europe, beating the
likes Real Madrid and Honved. Below you can read all about The UEFA Cup 1971/72
those Glory Years. Let's hope that the magic from those days. The League Cup 1974 & 1980
soon will come back to Molineux Grounds. So you want to know more about the Wolves in Europe? Well, quite simply what the Man Utd scum are doing now, the Wolves did for twice as long, Wolves reigned supreme in Europe. They were, still are, and always will be simply the best.
